The Unicorn Stalker

Born of nobility to his duty he is sworn

sworn to defend the land he was born

strong broadsword in his hand doth belong

belong to the clan the strongest of the strong

eyes of a hawk will hunt his pray from the skies

skies filed with blue moonlight will meet his eyes

Fear disgarded in youth by this brave cavalier

cavalier on raven horseback in others strikes fear

speed of thought and hand all his skill he will need

need to overcome the odds return home with speed

unicorn stalker faces dangers his visions did forewarn

forewarn of the protector of the majestic white unicorn

Author Notes

The second poem in the Quest series, this poem attempts to describe the Unicorn Stalker.

I decided to use a different form for this as it does not describe the hunt in any way and I intend it to be a extra poem to a trilogy depicting the hunt. The other two poems will be written in the “fab forty form” of The Quest.

and the last word of line 2 is the 1st word of line 1.

and the last word of line 4 is the 1st word of line 3.
